The Winterspawn is a term given to the natural inhabitants of the northlands, the XXXX, or as they known to the rest of the world, Frost Trolls. This race of embittered creatures have long since adapted to the harsh environment of the northlands, their fur is thick, their blood chilled, and their love of the humans and elves of the land is non existent.
For generations the XXX have been fervently loyal to their king, but as the current king sits upon his throne everyone around him knows all to well that his time has come. Extreme old age has set in, his two sons now vie for control of the kingdom, each full of belief that they are the true heir to his throne.
The current date of the world of Terrainia is shown using the Alliance Calendar, this is because the alliance callender is the most widely used date system in the world, and even those who dont use it in their own kingdom will understand it and know how to convert to and from it.
