| The Trench |
The Trench is a cold and dark rent in the earth below the Vallean Sea. A thousand feet below the surface lies the top of the The Trench, the undersea canyon is a hundred miles long, over five miles deep and a full mile across. Within the two hundred square miles of rocky outcrops lies a race of mutated race of humans, so far gone from their base form there is no trace of their human heritage.
The Eyeless are feared by those that cross the ocean. Although their attacks are rare, enough have suffered that their legend is in the minds of all seamen about to cross the Vallean Sea. Standing six foot tall, featureless faces hide a barbed proboscis, the final thing many a man seas before being dragged below the waves. With a flick of their powerful scale clad tails they leap on to the deck of passing ships, landing upon a pair of chitinous legs it attacks with its upper limbs.
