Minister
CITIZEN DESCRIPTION |
A minister is a devout follower of a specific deity who manages and runs a place of worship such as a temple or church. They lead gatherings in worship of their diety, reciting from religious texts.
Ministers are part of the non-combat arm of the church, the mostly stay in one place and look after the local faithful. A village is likely to only have the one, a town might have two to four, but a city could have hundreds.

Players can start as a Minister or use as a background when creating an Adventurer
All player characters and non-player characters with a class are adventurers; even if they reach the level of champion, hero or legend, they can still be referred to as adventurers.

While players are generally free to select a citizen role as a background, they should check with the Dungeon Master to make sure it fits within the local area, other party members and does not conflict with the intended adventure.

Faith cannot be shaken when in the presence of powerful opposing pantheons. When defending against attacks of enemy pantheons, gain Dodge. Must not take any actions that go against their faith or risk losing this skill or being Disavowed / Exorcised. |

Confidence and a strong voice can sound across a space such as a large room or marketplace. The nature of such a speech will draw the attention of all those around them. |

Can keep the attention of those around them when they need to preach, educate or inform others. Their speech can be heard up to 30 spaces. |

Citizens have proficiencies in weapons and armour relative to their type and region, so it is not included in the above information, and players do not gain any proficiencies from choosing a citizen background.
